Jeff is a long-time client of Marksmen and first became a satisfied customer in 1999. He has been a board member since 2002 and brings 20 years experience as a transformative, strategic, and visionary leader who quickly drives exceptional growth by focusing companies on what matters most—exceeding customer expectations. Jeff has a history of delivering “the impossible” through innovative marketplace strategies, operational expertise, and forming exceptional high-value partnerships. He has raised over $45 million in venture capital, built 2 market-disruptive companies, turned around several organizations, served in senior executive positions in sales, marketing, business development, finance, and operations, and has worked in both startups and billion-dollar companies. Jeff was selected as a finalist for the Utah Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award, is fluent in French, and is a graduate of Brigham Young University where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and a Master of Accountancy in Information Systems.
Ken founded Marksmen in January 1998 with four partners and was the company’s CEO and Chairman for 16 years. He remains active with Marksmen as adviser and the company’s largest shareholder. He currently is in charge of business development of MCL Domains, a new venture with Com Laude in bringing enterprise solutions to domain portfolio management in North America. In May of 2014, Ken set up Hey Clown Ventures as a consultancy and investor in creative works (heyclown.com). Current projects include Lute & Drum: An Online Arts Quarterly (luteanddrum.com). In 2105, Ken founded selva oscura press, a 501(c)(3), non-profit poetry press (selvaoscurapress.com) whose aim is to publish books from new and established poets. Ken is the author of self-portrait as joseph cornell (forthcoming from Pressed Wafer) and two chapbooks: first the trees, now this (Three Count Pour, 2013) and dog with elizabethan collar, a collaboration 12 artists (selva oscura press, 2015).
