The three-day conference focused on trademark issues of importance to Latin American practitioners. Among the many issues addressed were Free Trade Area of the Americas, Central America Free Trade Agreements, the Madrid Protocol, Parallel Imports, Anticounterfeiting, Trade Dress, Famous and Well-known Marks, E-commerce, and Trademarks versus Generic Marks.
